All aboard for New Orleans and the Gulf Coast!

Escape the chill of winter on a delightful 9-day Amtrak / motorcoach tour exploring the best of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast.  We’ll journey through bayou country aboard a comfortable Amtrak train.  Then we’ll board a deluxe motorcoach and tour New Orleans and the Gulf Coast, seeing first-hand how the dedication to restoration after Hurricane Katrina has brought new vitality and grandeur to the area.

In New Orleans there will be an incredible opportunity to volunteer as a group on one of the special Hurricane Katrina restoration projects, allowing you a chance to really make a difference.  Other New Orleans highlights include the excitement of the French Quarter and Jackson Square, a fascinating city tour, Mardis Gras World, the Audubon Zoological Garden, and an evening of sizzling Cajun music.

On the beautiful Gulf Coast we’ll stay at a casino hotel on the bay front and enjoy an exciting evening show, explore Bellingrath Gardens, and visit the Hurricane Katrina Memorial and Camille Memorial.  Plus, there will be plenty of time to enjoy the captivating waters of the Gulf, both on the bay front and aboard a unique shrimping cruise.
